Driving Instructor Ramble.

Sounds like some of you need to quit throwing money at a driving instructor and buy a bus pass.

100 lessons, dear lord

Respect for admitting it.
I also bet when you passed that you didn't get in your car and drive like a lunatic like most young men do therefore pushing up my bloody insurance.
£180 I had to pay this year.
Driving with me is like driving Miss Daisy, I'm always 5-6 mph under the speed limit and depressingly slow in built up suburban areas.

lol keep it up dude, you'll get it eventually.

;)
I passed my driving test in August on the 11th this year, first time with only four minors. Now for the embarrassing bit, I'm twenty eight and it took me roughly a hundred lessons :o.

I stupidly had my first lessons with the same instructor that taught my mum.

I'm not ageist, but she was so frail and nervous, I really don't think she should have been still in that line of work.

She couldn't judge distances and was reaching for the steering wheel when we had plenty of space to pass on country lanes etc.

Ditched her fairly quickly.

100 lessons in an auto? really? at 1 lesson per week thats almost 2 years! the average driver passes around the 9-12 month mark and thats a manual!

Automatics are just go-karts, or in the case of my dads Land Rover Discover very SLOW-karts. **** easy to drive though

As I said slow learner and naturally nervous!
Different strokes for different folks. It worked out at two and a half hours a week.

If I'm being tailgated by someone impatient, I literally just brush the breaks and they either back off or I just slow down even more to the point of being stationary :).

It'd probably help if you didn't drive around too slowly everywhere in the first place :p
