Zappa does sound better in that video, surely because his guitar is louder though?

A Kurt signiture model does seem slightly daft.

I never said Zappa was better please quote me where I do.

What I did say is that Zappa was far more musical.

I would argue that Vai in that Video has far better technique...He does some very flashy things but its boring.

Listen to Zappa's solo from 3.36 just as he does the run down....Then you see sparks of jazz leaking into blues and rock and then back out into the most beautiful phrase at 3.58

EDIT: Listen to how Vai starts his solo at 32 secs then look at him Gilberting at 48 secs.(yawn)

Then listen to how Zappa starts his solo 2.23

It's a Pro, so off the peg and not built to spec (which was better for me, I think... As I don't really know specs too well). Not quite as swell as yours... But hey, I own a Suhr, as well.

I agree, who's even making the money off this? It's one thing to release your own signature guitar but to release one under someone else's name is a touch lame.

i brought my brother a korean prs earlier this year and it's a belter of a guitar ok so it's no ibanez but it's a great piece of kit. fender's were mass produced and put togethor by unskilled labour but sound(ed) incredible.

to the poster who was put off playing because they have big hands, just check buckethead out!

Gary Moore had stubby hands yet was amazing, you don't need large hands, you need the right guitar for you and lots of practise.

I have large hands but very stubby which I always used to blame my terrible playing on. until that is I actually played and practised for hours.

Absolutely.
Easyrider has put himself on such a high pedestal with his superior music knowledge that he'd better be at least 10x better than Naffa and just a bit short of Tommy Emmanuel.
Mind you he'll probably **** Tommy off.
