Aliens Vs Predator (PC) - £3.99

Thanks for letting us know. I got this already on special offer from GMG at a similar price, and although not as good as its predecessors it is (in my opinion) still worth 4 quid.....

Got a question about this game, I'm playing the marine campaign

Is it meant to be a scary game? Are a lot of people scared playing it like Doom 3, Dead Space etc?

Don't know if I'm just hard as nails but I'm not finding it scary, infact its very predictable.

I didn't find it scary at all when I first played through it but when I calibrated my monitor so the brightness and contrast where absolutely spot on, you really cannot see the aliens until they are pretty damn close or you have a flashlight on them. Makes it faaaaaar scarier :D

It's £7 in the link, not worth it imo. They have the orginal for £1.50, I assume this wouldn't work on Windows 7?

If its the steam version your talking about (original AVP 2000 or w/e), valve recoded massive parts of the game to allow it to work on all modern operating systems, plus added multiplayer back into it :D

No, not scary at all. You could almost always tell beforehand when there was going to be an attack, it was incredibly predictable in that regard.

Great atmosphere though, looks and sounds fantastic.

Valve didn't recode the AvP 2000 steam release, Rebellion did, only they did so by using most of my work and passing it off as their own.

Their CEO offered me a free copy of AvP 2010 as a thank you, but refused to credit me for the work

^^ Bloody hell, that's not on!

True, but if you work on someone else's game without approval/consent/owning the copyright, then you don't really have a leg to stand on in this regard.
