The iPhone 5 is out in October (most likely).
There's the new HTC Runnymede coming soon, no idea on battery yet though - http://www.slashgear.com/htc-runnymede-4-7-inch-android-phone-leaked-12179083/?ito=twit
Oooh a single core processor, how very 2010!
Ive read that the SGS2 is still going to be better than the Iphone 5.
Also i hate apple and iphones![]()
I wish I was cool enough to hate a phone.
Yea thats what i guessed.
i can upgrade in Oct or my contract runs out in Jan 2012. so i dont know whether to get the SGS2 sometime soon or wait it out and see what develops
In the same exact boat. Really want something with a 720p screen not too fused about the rest of the tech but I think a dual core in a phone is more than enough let alone a quad which would just be a giant waste.
Thinking iPhone will probably be abit to much on a contract as is the case ever year which just leaves me with android. Have a SGS so thinking I should get something new so I think I might end up with something from htc.
You can never have enough cpu power from 1W IMO.

Actually only nVidia are touting a true quad core SoC for smartphones, the rest are going down the heterogeneous path (one to two large cores + lots of low power task/OS specific processors)
The Snapdragon S4 'Krait' devices set to be launched at the end of 2011. Qualcomm has said that the S4 devices will include 28nm quad core processors. The Krait Snapdragon S4 chip, with upgraded Adreno 225 GPU - will be able to display more fluid and faster graphics on your phone than even a PS3.
