Trying to Pre Order with GAME but no option for Next day delivery/1st class. just the standard free delivery ??? want to get BF3 on the day
 
Well took the plunge

Ordered two 6870 for crossfire, not really just for BF3 but for a general upgrade. and according to some benches it will/should offer a considerable improvement over my 460 GTX. Since I game at 1920x1080 on a 120Hz monitor it should be rather nice!

Then it's just a case of either go down the water cooling route and overclock my 955 further or spend it on a 6 core instead.

I'd be amazed if you get it to run with everything on LOW. You'd probably be lucky to get the menu screen to be honest. You have a girls computer. Is it pink by any chance?

Speaking of which is BF3 going to be stat ho heaven with all the medals and ribbons and stuff

I seem to remember people would play BF2 just for the stats, they got bored of the game but the presitage of a higher rank kept them playing and it was pointless to have a game on a non ranked server.
Every server is ranked this time I take it

yes, there's lots of Stats, Ribbons, Unlocks etc

From the mouth of a Dev, it will take approx 100 hours to unlock all kit on 1 class.
 
Only thing regarding that is you have to unlock the same items for EACH gun apparently. So although there is a lot to unlock, a lot are duplicates. Hopefully will keep me busy unlocking until at least level 30-35 or so, had everything by about 25 in BC2 I think!
