Need techie help

At work we have two pc's connected to the same router joined by homegroup. PCs are both running Win 7 HP.

I am running Vista HP at home and wish to connect to this network from home.

Is there any way (preferably easy) of doing this or am I stuffed?

You'll most probably need a Virtual Private Network, or VPN for short.

If you don't mind paying and want a hassle free way use Gotomypc or somthing similar. The better/cheaper in the long term way would be to setup a VPN connection back to the office and then use somthing like VNC to connect to the PCs themselfs if required.

*ninja edit: you can't connect to a PC running home edition using remote desktop.

I would probably recommend setting up a sftp/ftps server, would be easier than setting up a vpn.

Something like Log Me In is probably gonna be the easiest way.
