your friend should have saved his money for a better car instead of modding that ibiza, has he told his insurance company? Ive got 4 years ncb and 0 points but i can almost guarantee if i phoned my insurance company and told them i'd doubled my engines power they would tell me where to go

My friend has a 1.9tdi ibiza standard 100. It's now sitting at 200 and smokes r32's vxr astras etc.

Sounds like a guy I used to play Sunday league with. He had a Vauxhall Nova and turned it into a Vauxhall Nova 458 F1 Italia, with parts from an old lawnmower and a disused Mig 21 he found on the Russian version of Ebay. Goes like stink too.

Whats wrong with that? VAG engines are class and have amazing tuning abilities.

He really is. its got a hybird turbo, bigger injectors, intercooler, etc. Savage mavchine and you'd be suprised at how well it pulls for a diesel.

I've been in the car with him racing vxr's etc

I honestly don't think that A3s make much sense at this price range.
They're far too expensive for what they are, considering that you can get effectively identical cars for much, much less.

So what if the Leon Cupra has 5 doors? It even has the same interior as the Audi A3!

200bhp is more than the R32's 247bhp.

The skinny tyres and soggy suspension of the Ibiza would also allow it to put its power down better than the R32's electronic Haldex clutch that splits power between front and rear wheels.

The low gearing and limited rev range of Ibiza's diesel engine would also blow the R32's V6 out of the water.

It's obvious innit!
