Which 120hz monitor?

I'm looking to get a 23-24" 120hz monitor for general use, gaming and 3D. There seems to be a dearth of HDMI 1.4 monitors so I've decided to get a cheaper non 1.4 model. I'm looking at the Asus VG236HE at around £170 and the LG W2363D at around £160 - plus the NVIDIA kit at around £100.

I've been using the Dell ST2410 and the Dell U2311H recently to compare with and I will be picking one of them as my main desktop screen. I don't have strong light sources in my room so glossy isn't a big issue and I'm not a twitch gamer who needs microsecond perfect response but obviously I'm after the best performer all round especially as I might be watching some full length 3D features on Bluray.

Without waiting for too long or spending much more than £350 including 3D Kit should I be looking elsewhere?

I have the LG W2363D,Its a good monitor,But for some reason it wont go 120Hz if i use the HDMI cable,Only 60hz.

If i use the DVI cable though i can set 120hz no problems,Just something to be aware of.
Running on a 6950 2gb.

That some reason is that HDMI is restricted to 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz due to bandwidth. It offers no advantage for your uses over DVI other than a smaller cable head size. ;)

I've had the LG W2363D for a couple of months now and I love it. I bought it for the 120hz in 2d but I haven't used it for 3d [prob never will - I'm not interested in 3d].

I went from a LG W2242s, which was utter poo [not even DVI!] and I havent compared it to any of the other 120hz bcos I dont know anyone with one. My bro has the Samsung SyncMaster 205 BW [great picture] and the LG looks as good as that imo.

For the price the LG is sweet. I just bought mine after reading lots of opinions on this forum...and they weren't wrong :)
