Hey guys, well basically I am building a Gaming PC and was wondering whether these RAM would work well for gamer??? I heard that the higher the speed the faster the loadingtimes on games. if that is right?
would 1600mhz be suitable. and what is the advantage of buying the dual channel ones?

cheers

4GB of 1600MHz RAM is perfectly adequate for a gaming PC.

What motherboard do you have? The DIMMs sold in a dual-channel kit are exactly the same as those in a triple-channel kit, it's just a case of whether you need to install them into your board in pairs or multiples of 3!

Thanks for the answer, Well Im still thinking what motherboard to get. thats great can I just buy the same 4Gb RAM without buying them in dual channels. Im planning to buy two of them(8gb) seperately.

4gb is £35.99 but 8gb is only £41.99 so wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to buy the 8gb kit?

Edit - It says dual channel RAM but both sticks of RAM in the package are identical, it just means that there is 2 sticks in the pack so will run as dual channel in your motherboard. If for some reason you had another stick of RAM identical to your first 2 then you could put them in a tri channel motherboard and use them as tri channel. Does that make sense?
