Google excludes churches from its non-for-profits discounts

It's actually tesco who is our local church :D

Hello Swindon?

Religion is nothing like murdered or rapists. You are so ignorant and blind.

Religion ~ power hungry people and organisations.

Such power hungry organisations and people can use pretty much anything to control people. Should we ban all corporations, goveremts and every single collective group of people.

I see your point, but that's kind of a fallacious argument (why do X when you're not doing anything about Y).

No, that wasn't my point. My point was that there is a lot of bleating about secularisation but barely a murmur about said governments. It's pretentious hipsters bashing on religion because it's the hip thing to do.

Religion, all the sheep pay in at the bottom, the money filters up the chain and a few get rich, rinse and repeat.

Sounds like a pyramid scheme to me.

I could point you to opposition political parties, lobbies and movements that argue against any particular government.

Can you show me an equivalent (in size and voice) anti-religion movement?

Disagree. Organised religion leads to those two things (and other evils). Of course religion isn't 'about' murder or rape, but organised religion facilitates it.
e]

Any group facilitates it.
Just like news of the world and hacking. Any group of people facilitates anything.
Nothing different to USA/uk and WMD
Or any other of a million examples.

Again total ignorance and blinded by your hatred.
The problem is not religion it's groups of people with their own agendas.

Would be kind of ironic to have an anti-religion movement, dontcha think? "Don't believe in God, because we say so!" as a slogan?

Which newspaper organisation or political party or large charitable organisation (like Amnesty International, or DWOB) have issues with the institutionalised rape of children and then a cover up of it, in the recent century?

Which political party or independent charity preaches falsehoods and lies (like the Catholic Church regarding condoms in Africa) that lead to suffering and death? Not only do they preach falsehoods but they scare people with threats of eternal hell and damnation if they go against their teachings.

Which group of people teach and preach from a fairytale written in a Middle Eastern Iron age, and manipulates their psychology and fears and irrationalities by scaring the living **** out of them if they don't follow their word, threatening to damn them, or if they don't baptise their child into the church to damn them too?

I don't know you may want to look into Russia and oil corporations. Assignations and take overs.
Or perhaps nursing homes in the uk, with systematic torture.
Or perhaps look at Ghana mo bay, or soldiers in Iraq/Afghanistan.

These are of course minorities, do you believe majority of members new anything about it or condoned it.

Is Catholicism the only religion? Why not just ban the problems ones. Not that I would agree with that, as that's like banning a company for bad managers. Rather than charging the managers and trying to change rules to stop or identify problems earlier on.

What about independent churches, where people attend with many ideas of faith, no sort of leadership, you want them out the way as well?

Regardless of views on religion and corruption within many faiths, many churches aren't as such for profit so I don't really agree with google discriminating in that way.

These aren't anywhere near on the scale of what happens in the church (and that's even assuming we have found out about it all, which we clearly haven't given the ongoing revelations)
