Finally gave into the origin software and pre-ordered BF3, get extra goodies plus 2days head start.

£40

Most of us paid less than that through EA discount codes. The amount saved is nothing really, but the challenge of convincing the EA support staff that I deserved a discount was priceless.

Yeah, I only paid the extra as it seems origin is the only place for digital PC download with head start. Question, will they allow a pre-load of the game prior to head start?

My origin order is still showin in mygames even though i cancelled it months back. Thought they would have clued in by now...

Was intending to go to a midnight launch literally 5 minutes away, just to see how many show up. Still might as i can see this disappearing from mygames list hours before it launches.

Yep, that's why I brought it. Also, the 48hr early access will be nice. I just hope I'm not working away when it goes live.

If the public date for the beta is 25th, then wouldn't it be nice if those of us with 48hour early access were able to play at on Friday 23rd at midnight?

The amount of time that has passed since Alpha finished, this is roughly the time we still need to wait till the final product release date

Origin generally does do preloads though.

looks like it. I also asked about pre-load as well and he said that it will be available when the game is released???? but i thought that we will be able to pre-load the game and then EA will unlock it so we are not waiting for it to download on release day.

I'm excited to know what this game will actually sound like. All the trailers seem to just sound distorted and scratchy. Perhaps it's my speakers... or my ears.
