Hi to all Iam looking to upgrading my current Graphics Card, I am currently interested in the following cards;

EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD 2560MB
EVGA GeForce GTX 570 Classified 1280MB
EVGA GeForce GTX 580 SuperClocked w/Backplate 1536MB
EVGA GeForce GTX 580 DS SuperClocked 1536MB

Is the 570 with 2560MB better since it has more memory? or am I better off with the 580 chipset?

which card would be my best option?

I want to upgrade mostly to have a better gaming experience with DX11 since my current card does not support it.. and also be a bit future proof in terms of gaming.

Thanks for the help.. :)

Thanks, for your opinions, DDR3 will be in my next list when I upgrade the mobo, actually waiting for the bulldozer chips to come out first before upgrading completely..

Resolution i game at is 1920*1080

Thanks again for your help..

I made the plunge and bought the evga 580 superclocked , I must say it is a whole lot different, than the 260, especially with DX11, the graphics are somewhat smoother and more detailed, most probably cos iam running everything on max, however I did see a difference...

DDR3 ram first :D but it's up to you and it depends on your resolution.

Wrong forum I know but does this really make much difference? I am thinking about doing exactly the same - upgrade my 5850 for a 570 or 580 - but still have DDR2. My mobo can support 2 sticks of DDR3.

Snubber, it depends on what you really need... for gaming? for editing? etc.. imo i would go with a graphics card and wait a bit more before upgrading the rest, at least that is what I am prepared to do in my situation, and I am not regretting it.

I had a GTX580. Dont get me wrong was a great card and O/C well.

However i wanted to go SLI, and at the time didnt have the cash to purchase another 580, so sold it and went 2 EVGA GTX570s HD SC.

I just couldnt justify the price tag for the 580, the GTX570 is the cheaper option, you wont be disappointed with a 570 though, buck for bang IMO its the card to get.
