Anyone else been watching this comedy? I've seen the first couple of series and I think it's hilarious.

Love how a lot of the jokes come out of the blue and hit you when you're least expecting it. And the lack of canned laughter is a refreshing change for (yet another) sitcom about an american family.

Yeah it's a bit cheesy/tired in places, but on the whole it's a refreshing spin on the over used formula. Well worth a watch imo.

Yup watched both series as well and really enjoyed it. I think it's probably one of the better sitcoms to come out of the states in the last few years and has a refreshingly healthy dose of cynicism.
It also helps that Sofia Vergara is seriously hot :D
 
I think it's a great series, they've made some really good observations on family life. My only worry is that the first 2 seasons were so good and covered so much ground, I just hope they don't run out of fresh ideas.
 
I also enjoy it a lot, im just wondering how long it will be before the idiot American networks decide to cancel it though. They seem to take away everything i love!
 
I was told a lot of it is improvised - they didn't want the children to be wooden "kiddy actors" so the first lines to introduce the scenario are scripted, then they just improvise.

A lot of skill in coming up with funny lines in your head, not knowing what on earth your child co-star is going to say!

Edit: I'm an idiot. It's not Modern Family, it's Outnumbered I'm thinking of :D
