I'm concerned that EA won't have the bandwidth, and it will take 48 hours to download, let alone play it. ;)

So far there are 6 DLCs for BF3 (besides the full original game)

- 48 hours Early Beta Access
- Back to Karkand (4 BF2 maps)
- Physical Warfare pack (extra weapons & bullets)
- Play 4 free pack (extra weapon & beret)
- SpecAct kit (extra costumes)
- Dog tags kit (5 or 10 dog tags)


You have the first 4 by pre-ordering from origin ;)

I can see it now - @zh1nt0 beta is now available on all platforms, go go go!!

Cue several million people hitting origin, PSN store and xbox live marketplace at the same time :D

Maybe that's what the 48hr early access is actually for ;)

For the full release I think so, doubt it will for the beta though.

oh and that's not an actual tweet btw for anyone not reading it right ;) just the reaction that would happen if/when that sort of announcement does get tweeted :D

Actually I would say that a Thursday sounds about right, remember the closed beta is only two days and they would probably prefer the beginning of the open beta to be available to everyone for the weekend, so I would guess either a Wednesday or Thursday closed beta start.

i just did a little bantering with EA online chat and managed to get a free copy of dead space 2 added to my origin account even though i already preordered battlefield 3 ages ago hahahaha

also im from the uk but the guy made an exception for me cause the offer is only for people in USA or CANADA not UK
but he still gave me the redeem code and i just added it :D WOOOOT :)

I must have caught the ea guy when he was in a zen moment :D
 
Reading pages back regarding the tweet what a load of tripe, when
Microsoft and sony give it the ok the beta will be released so it could be any day now i suspect sometime next week
 
Love the people commenting that the £200 PC is going to be able to play BF3 as well.

A Celeron E3400 and 2gb RAM ? lol. Its going to be on the borderline of the minimum specs, and nowhere near recommended. And you're going to be playing BF3 on minmum everything. Which won't look any better than the consoles.
