ENGTX580 DCII (BETTER COOLING)

Hi guys

Just looking at this nice bit of kit ENGTX580 DCII and was wondering is it possible or even worth doing to put a Accelero XTREME Plus II on it.

please any comments or links to someone who has done it will be great.

Wasn't the whole point of buying that three slot monster that it had an upgraded cooler already?

for sure upgraded cooling system, the 3 slots quite right allow air to be pushed out of the case, but do we think the accelero can make it run cooler? increasing its lifespan...allowing a bit more OC headroom?

and why do you say that Hyburnate? why do we use a better thermal paste? for a few degree's improvment.
I know it's a sorted card thankyou for your input, but if you dont know the answer dont bother posting

i do not think fitting the accelero will improve the temps but will proberly run hotter tbh

What Chaotic said, there is no point putting it on that exact card because of its Cooling already put it on a basic 580.

direct cu cards run very cool. Un matched to the reference coolers. If you want better cooling go watercooling or go with the msi cards (i find there the quietest but typically all custom coolers are quieter and better performance than reference)

No need to personally attack the OP. Just recommend them to buy a reference card and a waterblock.

No need to change the cooler on that card mate it runs very cool and quiet as i had one,idle around 32c and in gaming it whent up to 60c odd depends on the fan profile you set in afterburner.

Aftermarket coolers are only guaranteed to fit reference cooled cards. The extreme plus 2 might cool better but might not fit. If your plan is aftermarket cooling then get the cheapest reference card you can find, or at least one where someone else has swapped coolers to the ACAXP2.

just get that 3 slot beast, or just get kfa² 580 anarchy (in sig) its already got an accelero extreme strapped to it its awesome
