Out on the town last night, bought a duck chow mein on the way back and didn't eat it so it went straight in the fridge when I got home.

Think it's safe to bang in the microwave for a few minutes? or straight in the bin? :p

Christ. Just microwave it and be done with it.

Someone will pop over in 15 minutes to wipe your **** as well.

Was expecting replies like this, sounds stupid I know but it's not something I have ever done before :P

blame the modern sell by date obsessed generation.

When food has gone off you can visibly see it and smell it

Just make sure it is throughly heated and it will be fine.

lol ? Cold take away the morning after is the best thing ever. unless you left it in the bin it won't have gone poisenous overnight :p

Don't get all this fuss about rice, I've lost count of the amount times I've reheated it (once every other week usually) and I've always been fine.

Unless it's rice, which can be pretty damn unsafe without mould.

How is this?

I'm sure I saw something on "Loose Women"... Don't ask, I wasn't actually watching it, where they said sell by dates should be removed.
Sounds good to me, I eat yoghurts several days out of date and they taste great.

What do you guys think about chicken, it appears everyone I know has a fear of microwaving/ reheating chicken.

I've been eating cold take away the morning after for years

Never had a problem.

But i do store it in the fridge overnight. important step.

i'm a student, ive done this at least once a week and its done me no harm atall. you'll be fine as long as you dont keep it in the fridge for more than a few days, and as long as you dont put your leftovers back in the fridge (food can only be reheated once safely)
