Re heating last night's chinese?

How do some people even get up in the morning?

Quite easily when you have a super hot woman next to you naked as the day she was born:p:D

Anyhow i cooked some chicken curry a few weeks ago and made a bit too much so i just bunged it into the plastic container and put it in the fridge, same with the rice...2 weeks later i had the chicken curry and rice, reheated in the microwave and it was perfectly fine...im still alive i think:p

NO rice isnt fine to reheat unless its been prepared in a controlled way, once cooked rice gives off an enzyme that is poisonous. Like anything you will get away with it so many times but eventually it will bite you back.
Rice is so bloody cheap why would you even bother...

Rice is perfectly fine to cook and eat within a reasonable amount of time as long as it is kept properly. The risks of food poisoning from room temp rice are very small, far smaller than getting salmonella from eggs or chicken for example.

We used to reheat rice or eat it cold all the time, not once was someone sick, not once.

i always thought the danger was leaving cooked rice at room temperature.

Left at room temperature the bacteria in rice that aren't killed thoroughly can breed and multiply overnight. Cooking the rice warms it up, and it will probably be all nice and moist too from whatever sauce etc.. you put on it. Warm and moist, just the sort of conditions bacteria thrive in.

I reheated a curry from yesterday, earlier. Rice and all. Frequently do it. No bother. As others have said, so long as it's well nuked it shouldn't be a problem.

blame the modern sell by date obsessed generation.

When food has gone off you can visibly see it and smell it

Tell that to the 3 year out of date tin of Soup I had a few weeks back. Smelt and looked fine but my stomach had a theory of its own ><
