Actually, attraction to someone around the age of 15 would be ephebophilia, not paedopholia, but you woulldn't know that because you're a cretin.
As it is, 15 isn't really a desperate lunge into depraved sexual actrs. Yes, uit's weird to see a 35 year old and a 15 year old, but is it any more normal to see a 35 year old with a 16 year old? Random, imaginary boundaries that have been put in place for a black and white legal structure don't do very well if you consider them in-depth. It's weird, but that doesn't mean it's wrong in every case, and that goes for both combinations of sexes.
Of course, sometimes it really is wrong, and you've also got the proviso that just because she's a mother she should be treated leniently. It's a murky case in a lot of ways.

If so then aren't most old men ephebophiles?

The whole consent thing is a joke at 15 he knew exactly what he was doing, in fact I'd go as far to say that quiet possibly it was he who manipulated her, because I know when I was 15 I would said/done anything to get some action even if it was a women twice my age!

It is the attraction to people in the age group 15-19 (boys) and 14-16 (Girls). Basically it just means attraction to adolescents, Paedophilia is attraction to prepubescent children, and Hebephilia to children of puberty age.
All are illegal if the child in question is below the legal age of consent and that depends entirely on the laws of the country in question.
Assaulting a burgler in your house can be the law if they are only stealing stuff and not threatening you or if you use too much force, doesn't make the law even remotely right.
