It's entirely possible that he may have lost his ability as a manager in his time away, but to suggest that he never had any ability whatsoever is madness, even to someone who isn't a Liverpool fan.

Whilst he's still frustrating, there's no doubt he's improving.

With Smalling, Evans and Jones all starting today I expect Torres to at least threaten United.

Can't say I've watched him at all this season, how does his fitness look? Always thought it was that holding him back and he'd start scoring once he was fresh again but being getting dropped by Chelsea and then Spain must've knocked his confidence.
