Wilshere having surgery on his foot. Out till xmas. Sigh.
Jesus H christ, even worse as per usual was a story only the day before about how Wilshire might be back early and make a game in mid-late october it was suggesting.
Worse again is the fact that the "treatment" for Wilshire was to sit around on his arse doing nothing and see how it is in a month or so, and a month later they realise that didn't work in the slightest.
This problem occured the end of last season, their "treatment" over the entire summer was, ignore it and see if its gone by next season, then their treatment plan was play/train him aggressively in preseason, then they made it worse and he got properly injured, when again they suggest, doing nothing.
Where would Arsenal/Wilshire be now if this had been correctly diagnosed at the beginning of summer and treated then, back already at full strength? Look at Cesc, struggled all season with a hamstring problem, DAYS after arriving in Barcelona he's playing more, looking epic and injury free and getting match fit at the same time. Barca, very very very few injuries, dealth with effectively and quickly, Cesc struggles with an almost minor injury at Arsenal but is fine almost straight away with a different staff training him.
Arsenal's medical staff is a complete joke, this on the back of today Wenger talking about not needing a defending coach because they work on defending every day.......... If you are a bad defensive coach, teaching players the wrong thing every day is the worst thing you can do.
But theres proof it works because in Wenger's words "we were good against Dortmund, bad against Blackburn"?
Good against Dortmund, they broke our defence over and over and over and over, as did Udinese and Swansea, only crap finishing saved us in those games. Wenger's deluded, our long term medical treatment issues are killing us, the squad he's put together is laughably poor for a 100mil+ a season squad, and going for two ageing players, with no potential for real improvement, who weren't ever good enough for top 4 teams as starters to begin with, on higher wages and recent injury issues....... and a lanky slow as crap defender no one else in Europe thought could cope with the pace in any league but Germany, which as the German league gets faster and more attacking recently, he was becoming a less big name already.
Ridiculously someone reminded me, we did have Keown as a defensive coach back in our Champs league final season, when we made a champs league record and conceded only 2 goals getting to the final(meh I'm tired, I can't remember this is from memory of something I read the other day, might not be 2, meaning is the same, we were awesome with a makeshift defence), and this was with predominately Cygan, Flamini, Lauren and Toure due to massive injuries at the back(whats new). So the last time we had a defensive coach other than Rice/Wenger, we got a champs league record, got to a champs league final ffs, and only conceded 31 in the league, sure, we don't need a defensive coach, the current coaches are fantastic.........
