Asus P6X58D Premium 1366
i7 960 @ 3.2Ghz (stock)
12GB (3x4GB)
1TB Samsung F3
MSI 280GTX

Im thinknig about buying two of these which would be £226.

if i sell my old 280 gtx for £50 that brings it down to £176

then if i sell the games (keeping one copy of deux ex for me ;))

deus ex - £20
dirt 3 - £15
dirt 3 - £15

take that off,

thats £126 for them both. that sound like a good deal? if you look at some reviews This one for example it easily out performs a 580GTX

Doesn't sound like a bad plan. Even if you run across a game that doesn't like Crossfire, a single card is still a nice little improvement on your 280.

Why not up the ante and go for 6870s?

I've been thinking of doing the same thing for BF3 if the 7 series doesn't come out in time. These days the performance of 2 lesser cards is really killing the expensive single cards such as the 580.
