Its usually down to experience if someone is cheating, sometimes admins will err on the side of caution and ban someone who may not be cheating but has had several complaints by other players.

Some games its easier to spot the cheats if it shows headshots and kill count usually if they are the same and high then that person is cheating espically if they arent using sniper rifles.

I dont see why punkbusters dont find all these places that sell 'hacks' and subscribe to them and reverse enginner the program and then fix the 'leak'

ive encountered a few cheaters on bc2 normally involves MG3 and spraying with instant headshots from miles away although i normally just say ''i think >name< is cheating and wait for other peoples responses

Was it confirmed kill cam isnt in bf3? as that was the main way of checking if someone is cheating or not

How can you tell if someone is actually cheating via kill cam? Wouldn't removing this feature actually be a campers paradise? once you've learnt the maps a 5 sec kill cam is normally enough to figure out where there camping

The kill cam will help see how you got shot & if there's any possibility that they could have known you were there & actually made the shot.
OK it's not perfect & sometimes lucky shots or plain skill has made the shot possible, but it just helps.

What's more handy is a spectator mode for admins only so they can follow that person, in 1st or 3rd person and watch what they are doing. I wouldn't like spectator mode available to all, especially the opposition as it leads to people spectating & telling their team where the enemy is.

One good thing & it's been a problem for PB for a long time is the screenshot ability actually working in DX10 & 11. Players running DX10 or 11 would just return blank screenshots which were useless. DICE & PB have confirmed that they have them working. Shame it took them so long to do it.

All they need to include the ability to veiw 3rd person of team mates like in BF2 or ideally 1st person view, blatant hacking is easy to see.

With BF2 I used to stick with the same old servers which I knew had good mature admins who could tell the difference between a hacker and a very skilled player.

Call of Duty version: Depends, if they aren't lagging and the server is receiving accurate data about their view, you should be able to tell if they are looking at you through a wall, or making impossible snap shots on a regular basis.

Battlefield version: Doesn't tell you anything about them apart from their location, but that shouldn't matter unless they used a silenced weapon, as their shooting should have attracted some attention.

Just because you know a map well, doesn't stop camping, as in a few bc2 maps, wookies go to the same spots which are hard to see if you are not recon or in the apc, so spamming shots is the most you can do.

It swings the other way though, the amount of servers I've been banned from because I'm apparently wall hacking or something else is stupid.

Just find a good server with mature admins and stick to it, admins who take being killed on the chin and dont kick you because you "stole" HIS plane. After a while of playing BF2 I had 2-3 servers which were run well and had a good community and I pretty much stuck to them.

always best to join the same servers untill you have a reason not to, specialy if there is someone on there you take a personal disliking to because he T-bagged you one to many times :)

Blatent, and at the last check he was still playing...
