£400 Budget PC - Help Needed

I think so, the computer is running fine. Should they be in a different slot?

The computer will boot with the ram in the wrong slots, it's just that the two ram sticks will each be running in single channel mode. It'll therefore run slightly slower, whether it is noticeable or not is debatable but for the time it takes to check and correct I'd say it's worth it.

Download and run CPU-Z. Then look under the memory tab and see if it says "Dual" or "Single" in the channels box in the top right. If it says single, remove the second stick and put it in the third slot :)

I installed it but it doesn't say if it's dual or single.

Thanks

You got it right.
