I am 30 today and I really don't think I have achieved anything with my life!

By now, I hoped to have been married, had my first child, and own my own house!

Not done any of that!! (I do have a pretty good job I guess)

Hey ho, life goes on and all that!

I turned 30 a few weeks ago. I do feel a little old but overall I am quite happy with the way life has been going, I have a wonderful wife, a house, decent job and good family relations.

I did not manage to make my first million by the time I was 30 but life goes on :D

I'm 26, and I've got all of that :p (Well, baby on the way)...

I'm 25, single and still live at home with no savings. My biological clock is ticking and there is no sight of any men in my life at the moment :o

Oh well, at least I have a good job and a nice-ish car :D

You'll get there in your own time OP. It's your life, your decisions.

Money and material possessions aren't important. Although your goals were pretty well rounded - average human being aims/goals.

Eh I'm 24 but don't even want to think about marriage let alone kids until 30... (can't wait till I'm ready for kids though!) If I got to your age and had similar circumstances to you I wouldn't be unhappy.

P.s. Happy birthday buddy! Its your last birthday to look forward to, it's all downhill from here :D

Being 30 isn’t old. Until you start getting wrinkles, have age related problems you have no control over then you're still in you're prime:)

I'm 36 and the the 30s are so much better than the 20s (and a lot of my friends would agree). Marriage, children etc. don't have to be rushed.

I know what you mean. 25 here and although my job is OK, I don't have a GF or a house that is my own - currently rent from parent woh lives elsewhere. pretty cushty really but i would still prefer to be a little higher up the "life" chain :P

I'm 24, still living at home with no savings. I work for an awesome company, my roles not the best at the moment but I'll progress. I've got a long term girlfriend and own a car. My hobbies are the things really sucking all my money away so it's something I really need to stop spending so much on if I want to own a house/flat before 30.

Ten years later ...

I am 40 today and wonder what I have done with my life!

I am married and the wife does my head in, the children just scream and shout and all my money goes on my mortgage!

Anyone else remember the good old days of being 30 and being able to do what you want when you want.

Hey ho, life goes on and all that!
