* LOTR : War in the North *

The graphics looks like theyre from the RTS game :S I don't mind though, Ive wanted to play a LOTR action game for ages :D

Berethor, Gondor - Sword and Shield - Boromir
Idrial, Lothlorien - Basically Arwen, even uses her Water horses thing
Elegost - Dunedain ranger, bow and sword - Aragorn
Hadhod - Basically Gimli (they're related)
Morwen - Well a bit Eowyn
Eoaden, Rohan - Eomer.

So pretty damn similar :p

So...you've got a dwarf and ranger that are similar to the fellowship.

Eomer, Eowyn, and Arwen weren't in the fellowship. You group is also missing four hobbits, an elven archer and a wizard.

You're right, it's exactly the same.

Ok perhaps not the fellowship but you've got to admit they basically just copied LOTR characters and renamed them :p

It was an utter bodge job of a story, don't know why they felt the need to do it when the world is so rich, from The Hobbit, The Lord of The Rings and The Silmarillion you have an indepth description of the entire world throughout the four ages, they could do anything yet they chose to do some weird copy and paste effort of the film story, it was pathetic.

Oh and the co-op features were pretty misleading, it wasn't really co-op at all. Only one player could adventure and the second had to watch unless it was combat.

BFME was great fun LAN with flatmates. Third age while i agree not so good in story played nice and i enjoyed a lot (as an FF fan though lol) LOTRO is awesome and imo one of the best MMOs going at the moment, until GW2 comes along and makes every other MMO look like original eyetoy games on the PS2 :P

This looks like ass thought haha.

Does this game look good guys?

I like rpg's and I like lotr.

Is it also likely to be a system hog, I see the requirements are a bit steep.

Thanks.

It's criminal that the LOTR license, one of the greatest Fantasy epics ever....has been used for such **** games so far. Seems like we'll never get a good one :(

True, though I have great memories from playing the text adventure, "The Hobbit", on an Apple back in the early eighties. :)

I really enjoyed the LOTR Battle for middle earth game. Had a lot of fun playing multiplayer on that.
