Well last night i thought i would fire up the Xbox 360 have a game of Halo Reach. Well i started searching for a match and it took like 5minutes for it to fine me a game... Then got in and i couldn't aim because i haven't played for a while and i wasn't used to the controller. It's just made me relise that PC is far superior. Load times are a lot better on PC (if you have a good system), finding matches takes seconds, aim is pixel perfect on pc.

Just a little rant.

Yeah I don't bother with FPS games on console, can't stand playing them on controller, I don't own a single one on the PS3 lol. When you don't know any better it's ok, like back in the N64 Goldeneye days... :p

I have my PS3 for some of the exclusives and some fighting games, where the better players seem to play on console. PC wins by default on pretty much everything else imo

It's a good game, but the lag, poor graphics and sub-par controls make it a bit disappointing compared to what it could have been on the PC. I like playing FPSs on my Xbox, but only really cos they're fun with friends splitscreen.

Only time I prefer a controler on games is for racing if I don't have a wheel, or games that are heavily vehicle based like GTA3/4. Even then I just use the xbox controler on the PC and play it at far better graphics :D

Oh so another 'Consoles are so bad for FPS, PC is far superior' thread.

I've played PS3 for the majority of my life, and only started playing PC games recently. Tbh, I prefer FPS games on console. PC makes me feel like I have tooo much to control, seems OTT.

Only reason I have a PC for games is so that i can play single player only games which cost 60 euros on console, but less than half the price, on PC.

That hasn't been said in this thread, the OP merely asked whether anyone has the same problem, it wasn't another 'who is better than who' thread, as for example, i can play Red Faction: Guerilla fine on the Xbox 360, but games like BF:BC1 i just can't seem to grasp.

when i first started with fps gaming on the pc i wanted to use the xbox controller on bf2 because i was all like "this keyboard and mouse setup is stupid"

i recently tried bfbc2 on xbox 360 and couldn't hit ****

i don't play multiplayer fps on consoles any more
i'd prob end up firing the controller through my tv :p

why do we need threads like this? isnt it ridiculous to be comparing the two and then saying "uhhhh pcs are the nuts, consoles suck ass."

they both have their pros and cons, we are all aware of that - im not sure we need a thread everytime a pc elitist jumps on a console and has a winge.

ps3 has some nice exclusives, but I would much prefer to play those on PC as well...it sucks I have to mess around with discs and wait for patches and suffer long loading times and low resolution and sub30 framerate...

standards are higher for pc gamer, but yeah Uncharted 2 is awesome game, finished it twice, I just wish I could play it on PC connected to 50" plazma, get best of both worlds.

A console is just a computer with out-dated hardware and inaccurate input devices that aren't suited for FPS style games. Even back when I used to play the occasional FPS on the first Playstation, it always frustrated me having clunky controls, auto-aim, taking what seemed like forever to turn around, etc. I guess if you've never known anything else, you develop a natural ability to cope with it though..

I tried playing one of those COD games on a friend's PS3 recently, it was like watching a gorilla trying to do origami. :p

Not really. I bought a 360 after playing on the PC for more than a decade, and I can quite easily switch from one to the other and play perfectly well on either now.

People that have never used M+K to play FPS games can look ridiculous as well, it's not an experience that's mutual to moving from PC to console. End of the day there's some great exclusive FPS games on the consoles, and I'd rather play them than not, if I have to play them with a pad.. So be it.
