I think he is just trying to be on the safe side.

There is no mention of @ what resolution would those gfx provide benefit

Wow that must be a pretty intensive game to need two 580 for ultra.

Think my mind is made up now, even though I'll be holding fire until I've played the Beta, I'll probably be getting another 6950 next month for CF

Technically he is right. I can run BC2 pretty much maxed, and the BF3 alpha ran flawlessly.
