Three Wont Let Me Connect To Google

Depending on how far you are willing to go, if you've rooted your handset you could install a terminal and check if you do a full trace route to google (command is "traceroute http://www.google.co.uk"). If it's a DNS issue then it's either ongoing (as rebooting flushes your DNS cache) or 3 made a mess of their DNS or possibly NAT.

That's a good idea. Funnily enough, it worked yesterday, I'll see what happens today. Anyone else able to try this?

Worked yesterday, but today's worse than ever. Wont even work after wifi...

Tried a traceroute but it said something about bad address.

Think I'll just go GiffGaff. :-/

Same story for me, Galaxy SII (One Plan) and SEx8 (PAYG). Google services are available just a few hours in the evening for about a week.

Both phones are rooted, x8 with Cyanogen7, SII stock.

Seems like your phorum is the only place mentioning this issue.

Any ideas/solutions? Any luck calling 3?

Bad address = DNS failure to return credible lookup. Try with googles IP address instead of web address.

I e-mailed them and tweeted them, no response after 3 or 4 days yet.

I will try calling tomorrow, but very much doubt the person on the end of the phone will really grasp what I'm trying to tell them.

Maybe that's all it took. Three to acknowledge they had an issue and actually put someone on it. Last night and this morning all seems to be well :)
