I know these are often frowned upon here, but the more exposure the better IMO.. Copied and pasted from SXOC:

Hi guys, posting this on behalf of another forum member on DW "Sea Squirrel"

Purple 14a registration P408 UAV stolen in the last 3 hours as of 16:00 today from where it was parked in Brighton. If anyone local sees it please inform the police immediately

Please keep an eye out for this guys

Cheers

This is the sort of car the internet can help to find - it's distinctive, its unique and it'll probably be easily spotted by somebody with an interest in this sort of car.

A world away from 'Stolen: Completely standard nearly new 10 plate 320d SE'

You say that but do you really think it will just be driving around the streets? It'll be stripped of parts and sold in bits.

Wouldnt amaze me. The Japspeed Subaru was spotted flying down a busy motorway even though its not road legal.

Total Scumbags! I hope its found in one piece.

That Impreza the other month was, and was found largely in one piece.

It was found in the process of having its cosmetic appearance changed.

They had removed various bits and bobs and thought that was enough for people not to recognize so could still leave it out in the open.

Fools.

Don't know -- this is all the info I have:

To sum up guys; parked in a bloody awkward to lift from spot with the bumper resting on the edge of a speed bump, steering wheel removed and in the boot and BOTH electrical cut off switch (on bonnet and in car) in my pocket. Definitely not towed by the authorities as i chased that up straight away. Baffled is the word. Upset too, but mostly baffled.

It was there overnight Thursday for 8 hours, then parked up again Sunday afternoon until being stolen today. Never been parked here before and I live 140 miles away.

It's been recovered by the police now apparently:

Right, this has now been recovered by the Police. Will find out tomorrow what's happened fully. Thanks everyone for keeping your eyes out, greatly appreciated!

Even better, on the SXOC someone once thought they had their car stolen.

Turned out he forgot where he parked it and the police found it a day later :D
