It didn't interest me in BF2 either.

I wasn't fond of it myself. More often than not it was just an un-organised mess with little or no team play. It often reminded me of watching kids football where they all just chase after the ball, only it was flags .

The only 64 player mode I liked was when we used to 32v32 clan wars with [TIG] and AWOL.

I meant deliver what was promised in Beta. People were getting mixed messages. Many thought it would be caspian border judging by Dice's wording in some of the posts. However now it has backfired

As for Alpha, fair enough but I was indeed making a general statement.

It's amazing to see how many people are moaning about it being metro.........there are a lot people that didn't play the alpha and would be grateful just to play BF3 early.

We would all love to play a big 64 player conquest map with jets. I remember gulf of oman demo, it was amazing. Maybe Dice want to keep that for the final release. People should know they are not entitled to a beta at all !!!!!!!!!! Most games of this size don't even get betas. People just need to be grateful, enjoy the game!!!!

The lol thing is everyones moaning about Jets and Choppers, yet in all the years of BF2 the most played map is one without Jets and Choppers.

I agree with what you are saying mostly.

However on the point of beta, many games are indeed released without beta. Some of them make it into gamers/revewers books while other games fail miserably or get poor overviews.

Think about Crysis 2. The game was overhyped before the release. Afaik there was a demo. However I don't know how much of the constructive comments Crytek took onboard.

However after the game released, it bummed. I think even Cevat later on admitted 'mistakes' made with Crysis 2.

So my point is as posted before, that where things aren't promised in alpha, beta etc to gamers(customers), then there is no point of such things.

Release the game as it is and then face whatever comes your way. In this regard, devs will be responsible for whatever happens to their game

I'm not arsed about the beta now. I've waited this long, I can wait a bit more for the full game. I'd be more excited about the beta if it was conquest and not rush. Battlefield games are all about conquest with jets and tanks.

The main complaint is not about beta but the map.

I think 95% of gamers not just here but worldwide expected Caspian Border to form beta. This is the fault of DICE for sending mixed messages.

Had Dice been clear about beta from an earlier time, things would have been much more smoother.

It just most of us feel that we have been duped in getting a different map.

How did you get to 95% :confused:

isn't BC2 on 11 million sales or something, so just for arguments sake, if we were to say that everyone who played BC2 is gonna play BF3 then your saying 10450000 people expected Caspian.
