Tried going back to the xbox

My point is that after using M&K for a long time without touching a controller i find it quite hard to aim in FPS. The only good thing controllers are good for is Driving games.

Auto aim is really annoying on consoles. Turn it on and it's hard to hit a moving target if you snap aimed to them and it's determined to keep the crosshairs ahead or behind them sometimes, turn it off and you have a disadvantage against someone that has it on and you both ADS at the same time.

I've been playing BFBC2 and TF2 on PC the last couple of weeks (first PC FPS since MW) and mouse aiming can be awkward if you're turning a long time and need to lift your mouse to move it.

Both have advantages and drawbacks, it's down to the individual.

its not the control method that bugs me at this point its the muddy sub HD resolution they are rendering at and the 30 fps if your lucky design philosophy, its very clear that the PC is the way to play your games now.

hmm and fighting games, 3rd person adventurers, sports, puzzle games - i could go on.

stop being so shortsighted, its an attitude that wont help pc gamers one single bit.

I suck using a pad as I prefer finger control over thumbs.

Watching Halo matches on the now defunct Xleague TV channel, I was convince it was just me being rubbish and not adapting to a pad.

Oh so another 'Consoles are so bad for FPS, PC is far superior' thread.

I've played PS3 for the majority of my life, and only started playing PC games recently. Tbh, I prefer FPS games on console. PC makes me feel like I have tooo much to control, seems OTT.

Only reason I have a PC for games is so that i can play single player only games which cost 60 euros on console, but less than half the price, on PC.

Im very unbiased and enjoy all platforms but "too much control" is maybe the dumbest thing ive heard really. FPS will always be better on mouse and keyboard but that doesnt have to be console though going forward

Graphics on a console do my head in,

Also cant tab and go on fb/utube.

Cant play games like LOL, Hon, and pc exclusives, no steam.

etc etc etc.

imo consoles are bad..

consoles have exclusives also or have you been living under a rock, also they have youtube and facebook. Loads of people have laptops anyway so they could just pause the game and go on them i guess! both formats have pro's and cons

ps

pc is my main platform and always 1st choice! :D

Always a console gamer here (yes i'm 33!), personally just feels more natural for me on a 360. Just cannae beat it :-)

Enjoyed Quake on Pc though, before i found the consoles.

Well last night i thought i would fire up the Xbox 360 have a game of Halo Reach. Well i started searching for a match and it took like 5minutes for it to fine me a game... Then got in and i couldn't aim because i haven't played for a while and i wasn't used to the controller. It's just made me relise that PC is far superior. Load times are a lot better on PC (if you have a good system), finding matches takes seconds, aim is pixel perfect on pc.

Just a little rant.

So you are blaming the console for your crap skills?

Well it's not the only thing, 3rd person shooters, sports games, adventure games etc. all work better on a controller.

Consoles definitely have their place, or at least controllers do :p

Begrudge having to upgrade to play the latest games. Console gaming F.T.W..

I'm on a 2 year old GPU and a 4 year old CPU and can run games at far higher settings than a console can, at a much higher resolution.

You can argue consoles offer better value (which they do), but most people have a PC and a console. Whacking a mid range GPU for £100 into most PCs would make them fairly capable.
