Airsoft 'SkirmishHD'

Dokinator.

I think you should post up a kit-list in the OP, or a no reply.

Allowing us to know what is needed or things you would recommend us getting before playing.

  • Boots

    [*]Socks

    [*]Chest Rigs and Backpacks.

    [*]Ammo?

    [*]Weapon, battery, charger and Magazines.

[*]Side arms, GBB?, Magazines and Holsters

    [*]Helmets?

    [*]Eye/Face Protection.

[*]Eye Protection for those with Glasses (like me :p)

I have specced myself some kits with everything, including the weapons, which comes to around £600-£800.

And the gear with weapons is like £200-£300.

But i went HUGE with the cart/basket :D

As for the weapons i had added, i had a sniper, a AEG (bells and whistles included) several magazines, and a lot of bb's.

Same with the sniper, and with the pistol sidearm, which was a GBB :)

Bah, airsoft died over here because of land issue, even when they did the site was pretty balls (half a valley, fight were always uphill/downhill, guess where the advantage is and where everyone goes? yeah). Never seen anyone do urban sites, but I guess that's hard to do here.

Paintball is private groups only and not open to public, old markers, couldn't hit the side of a barn, can't bring your own, once a month, expensive, marshalls are complete expletives.

Pretty jealous, I'm really in to it but can't, just like many things on this damn island :(
I miss the teamplay, tactics, physical exercise and fun at the same time :D

Can't you find a bit of suitable land and have a rent it from the owner and set up your own Airsoft club?

I agree, it sounds pathetic. It looks like fun until they fire.

Plus the fact what is being shot is smaller than the size of a garden pea, with what those people are wearing (padding) I wonder how they can figure they have been shot.

I would have greater respect for this all if things were on a larger scale (ammo wise).

When you are in a full scale skirmish hearing all the different makes of Airsoft guns firing adds realism. For example an AK will make a different sound from an M4 or even an MP5.
As for not hurting i have seen people get their teeth shot out not nice, people with split lips also not very nice and people who look like they have the pox:eek:.

I personally don't have the time or resources to do this, not to mention I wonder what health and safety balls I'd have to apply/deal with. Red tape, can't stand it.

It was hard enough for a group of people here to even find a venue for a lan party with internet connection a few years back.

fix bayonettes!!

guns look cool but this looks really feeble, unless you are 10 years old. sounds just crap and all the gear is a bit OTT. does this serioulsy get your heart pumping? last time i went paintballing, i was bored after 1 round. much rather go skeet shooting or to a range with real firearms.

who picks up the plastic pellets littered in the woods???

Yeah it gets your heart pumping, its just taken more seriously than paint-ball.

Obviously no on goes picking up the BB's but most are now Bio-Degradable

I <3 guns. I just bought a toy MP5K and M4 for about £10 each for film prop purposes. They are non-airsoft and totally rubbish quality, but 1 to 1 scale and fairly faithful replicas. I think if I bought a decent AEG I'd love it too much.
