Hi guys, was hoping to add a gtx 580 for sli next month but the prices
dont seem to be dropping very much.
Is this because of kelper being delayed or the balls up of the gtx 590?
I game at 1920x1200 and so far have got away with one 580 in my sig(very good card btw).
Was tempted when ocuk were selling 580 refurbs, but was not willing
to take a chance, plus i would like to keep my sli cards the same.
Anyway guess i will have to wait another 6 months before a substantial
580 price drop(or longer).
Can remember a time when nvidia and ati were releasing new cards every few
months,whats changed?
Any insight appreciated.

Would like to buy another card in my sig, thanks anyway.
BTW why are ocuk selling this card at roughly 60 -70 pounds more than
their competitors?

It's still nvidia's flagship gpu, I don't expect it to drop for a while yet.

As for your question booterboy, its because some people will still buy it.

Got away with? I play at the same res with the same card, and so far everything I've thrown at it, it has coped with easily. So personally I find a single 580 is quite well matched to that resolution, and I expect that to continue for at least another year...

So what kind of games do you play that you feel are boarder-line with a 580?

+1, @ 1080p 1 580 handles anything you throw at it.
