ikea markus wobble

My ikea markus recently has started to wobble from side to side and it's quite annoying :/ anyone else have this?

It has a 10th warranty.

Tighten all the screws and return if needed

My Markus is fine

I doubt I have warranty I got it brand new off the bay for 60 quid

Ikea customer service is pretty good, just say you have lost the receipt, the markus hasn't been around 10 years so it's obviously still in warranty

Do you mean the back rest? If so mine does the exact same. I would go and tighten the bolts but the support is broken too. Just cba to bring it back atm.

I've tightened every bolt yes some were a bit loose but it didn't fix it

also it's not the back rest no it's the actual seat so whenever I'm sitting in it it's tilted to the right a bit.

it's due to the gas tube at the bottom of the chair - you can see that the retaining nub right at the very bottom rocks a little from side to side.

I'm not sure how to fix it, but i'm sure it can be done.

I had the exact same problem.
Also with my first one the locking lever never fully locked tight so sometimes if I leaned forwards the backrest would spring forwards and whack me in the back/head.

The base connected to the gas elevation thing was quite wobbly too. The replacement I got has a very slight wobble but it's significantly less than the original, so it could be that you just got a bad one.
