Why do people think Hardcore makes them better ???

i don't get why people have this perception that if you play hardcore your a better player. Then they class normal mode a 'EASY' mode. This is rubbish.
Most hardcore players just don't like the radars (usually because there campers) and thats a fair choice but it doesnt make them a better player infact they usually get annihilated in normal mode.

Hardcore is meant to add some realism into the game, In real life soldiers don't sprint about in the open trying to get as many kills as possible. They take a slower more thought out approach which in a game I guess is camping :p
 
Maybe because playing without radar, or a HUD, and other things that help you makes it more difficult? Therefore you are required to be 'better' in order to play and be successful?

Isnt that the whole point though ? getting shot in the face is going to hurt real bad !!

Take a look at a real person getting shot.. they dont keep running :rolleyes:

Because they are better, stop bawwing and get better at the game or play another mode

I don't play hardcore either but I don't whine about players that do

yeah this is were im coming from, i can go on hardcore and if everyones playing fairly its good fun but then some douche, shots you from miles away with a pistol and nobody know were hes camping, there is no bettering yourself there. maybe balancing this somehow would make the experience much better/Till this time most of the people i know that play hardcore just camp were is the fun sitting in a corner for 10mins getting 2 kills ???

i dont need to get better im usually top or there about but were is the fun surely we play to enjoy........il have to stick to other game types then leave the apparent elite (actually campers) to there own game type

Hardcore online mode vs Normal online mode

In my experience Hardcore TDM and all the other modes bar search are full of weaker players that love the corners ADS'ing constantly.


Hardcore + Python = 1 shot kill at any range

Yet in reality it's the opposite. Games like CoD & BC2 are already lotteries due to the slowness of gameplay and the few bullets it takes to kill someone. Hardcore just makes it all the more random and luck based.
 
I used to play COD4 on hardcore using a desert eagle and a shotgun, mostly using the eagle.

Running around did me quite well running around and not camping, not sure why people find it difficult to find campers
