Just going to bed on Friday night/Saturday morning and chanced to look into my back garden. Say a hooj big ****off hole in my garage roof! Must be qt least 6 ft square. Fearing the worst went n had a closer look, nothing is missing. My beer supply is still there and all my tools etc are still on the shelves. Other than a pile of bits of roof on the floor, nothings been touched.
It's a bit of a mystery, it's made of that corrugated fibery concrete stuff and all I can guess is that someone was on the roof and became a cropper. The police say there was a report from elsewhere in my street of youths on top of lockups but nowhere near mine which is on it's own and completely isolated from the street.

Very strange.
Hope it isn't too dear to fix.

Sounds expensive to fix :\

Edit just read that it was garage, hopefully be cheaper than house roof but id imagine it would still cost a bit.

If its an arm and a leg, insurance is there for a reason, or if you have proof that its them (say police come and take finger prints incase the catch the buggers you could press charges and you should get it fixed for free.

Good to know your beer supply is still there ;)

That'll be asbestos, not a problem but let someone else deal with it, if its cement bonded crysotile any one can handle it, its a this point that I say due to my chartered status that you should get it tested before you touch it

I did wonder about the asbestos thing but as it's no more than 6 years old, it should be safe enough. May well claim on insurance, got crime report number from the police just in case. Will depend how much more than my excess it comes to.

Didn't think to look for bits of satellite though!
