Anyone going to Eurogamer Expo next weekend? I am

Well i sat down and could only choose between the 7/8 pre-made characters. I wanted to try a Sith Warrior as that is what i want to play come release, but there was not one so settled with a Jedi Warrior which was very good fun.

I was just getting into it when the guy told us time was up, defiently can't wait for release now.

i didnt even get a choice :(

went in with a press pass, went straight to CS:GO as soon as the doors opened and managed to get a cs:go beta pc key woop ;). Well worth the visit. BF3 multiplayer sucked balls!

basically went straight from cs:go which i loved, to MW3 spec ops which was a lot of fun. Sat down at BF3 for the xbox360 and after seeing all the trailers I was disappointed with the graphics. I know you can't compare the PC with the X360 but i expected more.

The multiplayer map was the underground subway (sorry don't know the name). The whole feeling just felt very clumsy and 'clunky'. That's the best way I can describe it. This is just a personal opinion. I am sure some people will love the realism and the way the guns recoil A LOT. I understand how burst fire works and I had just come from CS:GO so i was in a burst mode kind of mood but i was literally having to tap single bullets.

I am sure the single player will rock but from what i saw from my 15 minutes game time on BF3 multi, i was left a little disappointed. MW3 and CS:GO left a much better impression.

Also played Rift and SWTOR. Both look good and play nice. Pretty much WOW clones with different skins/themes :).

2. BF3
They (thank god) had a PC area for it. But this 'PC' demo area was about 1/5th the size of the console demo area. The line for BF3 on consoles was twice as long as the line for BF3 on PC. They gave away free goodie bags with stuff for the console players ONLY. Plus, there were about 50 TV's to demo BF3 on for consoles and a total of 16 PC's. WTF is with that ****? Really ****es me off when pretending to be part of the master race of PC gamers. God dammit.

The BF3 demo was on some nice rigs with mechanical keyboards (never used one before) but I couldn't tell if we were still playing alpha code. It was 8v8 deathmatch in the last part of the Metro area. All the guns were unlocked, at least I think it was all, including the attachments. You only had about 10 minutes to play so I only got to try the M416 and AN94. Wasn't enough time to really say much other than that it was fun and I'm still pumped for the beta.

It definitely was the same material as alpha but it was patched up a little more since the version i played at i43.

I got my goodie bags from the PC section? :S

Also some exclusive err printed dog tags with your name on it if you had pre-ordered the game.

yeah heres my Friday swag:

It was a good day although was waay too busy, queued for ages to play all of 10 minutes of bf3.. would usually spend longer than that just changing my keys so if felt a bit off and wasn't really a good judge of how the game is going to be i think

Other than that everything else was console Meh... CS:GO looked shockingly ugly, why they would even bother with the source engine is beyond me as that so soo very old. Never really understood why there are making this game in the first place actually, people still play 1.6, people still play source surely they cant expect people who are not playing either of these (new customers) to play a game that is so outdated.

After playing CS:GO it just seems like the quickest possible job to make it console available
$$$$$$$$$$$
I can't shoot for **** on consoles so didn't really enjoy it

I took one look at the MW3 and BF3 queues and decided to skip those!

Played a few 3DS games, Metal Gear Solid 3 looked pretty good, but I couldn't figure out how to pick people up (if you can?!) Resident Evil looked ok too. The new Mario game and Mario Kart looked solid but nothing special.

Played Sonic Generations, which was quite fun, played pretty much like the demo that's already been released.

Tried WWE '12, was quite disappointed. There was nothing wrong to it, but it felt far too similar to the other games, when they've been making a big deal about how this year's game would be differrent.

My friends played Rayman and Zelda and said they were good.

I also watched some Ico/SOTC, and thought it looked really good with the high-res graphics. As did the Metal Gear Solid HD collection.

Was that CS:GO video from a console or PC demo?

Xbox 360, from what I remember there was no PC games there apart from Rift, End of nations, World of Tanks, Trackmania Canyon(on Alienware machines) Guild Wars 2 and BF3

No idea on the indie section, didn't bother looking this year :P

I knew playing a necromancer in GW2 would help. (Thread resurrection)

So it's that time of year again, the EG expo is almost upon us. Are any of you fine folk attending? And if you are, what are you looking forward to playing?

Personally, I'm there on the friday, and hoping to get my mitts on the WiiU, Blops2 and DoA5.

Won't be going this year. Went last year solely for the sake of BF3 and got to play for 10 minutes after waiting an hour. Almost didn't get to play it because you need ID to get into the 18+ rated games area which is where the only decent games are anyway!

Realized the crowd really wasn't my style either. I like to game but these people realllllllly liked to game, very alpha nerd level sorta thing :P

edit: Was still an interesting experience though.

I helped out last year so I get a free ticket for this year :D So i'll be there.

Not that many games i'm really looking forward to tbh, mainly Assassin's Creed 3, Forza Horizon and Hitman Absolution.
