What disgusted me though was the fact that I was in so much pain, blood being taken high dosage of pain relief and a lady who fell over (sore ankle) after being drunk, get's the nice treatment. She was swearing, messing about with her friends and laughing and yet I'm suffering through no fault of my own. Would you like a cup of tea?, how are you feeling?, how's the ankle?. She was even brought in by an Ambulance, it's nothing but a taxi ride for these people. An Ambulance should be for special cases only, if you can laugh and swear, have fun with your friends then get a friend to bring you!
Was taken into hospital last night in severe pain, was in tears and pretty much on the floor. It's the intensity of the pain and how long i've suffered... I want my life back, I want to work, I want to do my photography and have fun not this.
They are now investigating an ulcerated stomach and gullet but this time they've put in for an urgent endoscopy. So I can finally see what's going on down there.. then i'm going to have acid tests 24hr and hopefully an operation to close this HH once and for all and solve anything that's going on.
I'm really struggling here guys, not sure what to do as everything is so far away, I've got an endoscopy booked now but it's the 14th October. The problem is just above my stomach in the middle of my chest below my lower two rib cages. I've been unable to breath right for months now and last night was so severe I felt like I couldn't take in an entire breath, like my insides are stuck with a tight knot. I had a lot of pain after eating and this morning I was in intense pain again.
I didn't get to sleep till 4am and kept on thinking, do i phone 999... What do i do!. Everyone that I put my trust in to get my health right has failed me![]()
Book an emergency appointment with your GP, let them take a look at you and describe everything you have told us. If your GP agrees that you are in real bad shape, they can send you to the hospital and speed up everything.
Before I knew I had crohns disease, I was in a huge amount of pain, often got home from work and slept until morning as I had no energy/couldn't eat.
Parents sent me to the doctor as I wouldn't go myself, when the GP took a look at me, she immediately sent me to the hospital and I was able to skip the waiting lists and get tests instantly.
Get well soon dude
Sorry to hear you're still struggling so much. I'm assuming that your GP has referred you to a specialist. If not, and it's the GP who has arranged the endoscopy then I'd be back demanding to be referred to one straight away.
It has already been suggested already but you can pay to see specialists privately without waiting around. It might be worth finding out what's possible, bearing in mind that when you go on the 14th it may be just for the endoscopy itself and any appointment to discuss the results could be later still.
Sadly it sounds like you're being made to follow a very sequential and rigid process. Much as I support the NHS if a family member was in your position I'd be investigating if it was possible to get any tests done privately too. Apart from the physical discomfort/pain, I'd bet there's a 'not-in-control' and 'no-one cares' element that isn't helping.
