I bought two of these for £2.80 each with free delivery :) (thank you ocuk)
on a trial deal problem is since replacing my distilled water with it my temps have rose 3c maybe 4c :( im going to give it a bit and see if as it beds in so to speak they drop down, who else has EK Ekoolant and what fluid have you changed from and what are your temps?

I have gone from the ek kit distilled water and mix to the ek pre mixed,no diff in temps on my system, if anything theyhave gone down,, wich is more than anything due to the reseatment of the cpu block

Well, a coolant is always going to be a bit inferior to distilled water temperature wise.
But nothing critical in my opinion.
It still has other features to take into account.

coolant is different to distilled water.
a glycol based coolant is never going to be the same as a distilled water based coolant like Mayhems X1

why use coolant then over distilled water/kill coil combo?
I had distilled in there for a year with no probs and no corrosion, furry blocks etc etc.....just thought I would give this a spin because it was such a good price think I may check out the mayhems x1

Like i say guys i do love the colour red. The problem is its to red. he need to lesson it down a bit.

The blue again is another good colour as well as the yellow / Green and clear is good as well..

He has evidence to support his claim not like its idol chat

It is Vender bashing (might to strong a word) (perhaps our product is better than theres ?)no matter how you try and dress it up , it is clear that is going on.

On a side note i am using the premixed red dye from ek. (been in my loop for just over a week)i had to empty my loop out today as my pump died on me./cry anyhow no pipes was stained no cpu block was stained and no ek res was stained, so its strange your probes ect was stained , how long did you have it emersed in the fluid for ?

Just had them in 10 min. For test runs. we started on the red and couldn't move forwards as the sensor wont take proper readings now (unstable). When i get the new probe which should be tomorrow or next day ill carry on my tests. It could just be coincidence but wont know till new sensor is here and its been recalibrated. My monitors take a battering as they are used daily quite a lot.

All so i test any and all fluids i get my grubby little hands on to see how ours fair. Nothing like being kept on my toes.

I have mentioned this before and it has obviously been picked up on.

Vendor bashing is not tolerated.

however, posting findings that you have made in a real life physical testing scenario is allowed.

With mlwood owning mayhems, it complicates matters slightly. In the interests of fair play [and as EK have no rep on this forum] I would ask that inter-vendor testing is kept as subjective and unbiased as possible.

In no way would I encourage one-upmanship on the OcUK forums. However, any company promoting their products can only compare what they sell to other products.

after reviewing mlwood's post, whilst EK fluids are a competitor to his product, his post shows what the fluid has done in that circumstance using proper testing equipment.

Sorry guys if any one considerer's it vendor bashing i will remove. We are all ways conducting full tests on all liquids i get. This is to improve our own products and all so as comparisons. We don't actually side with any one and you'll find i often stand up for other makers of fluids when some one has a problem and blame the wrong product. (this can be seen on XS a lot from me).

I fully understand how you feel and will remove the post my self. I would like to abide by the rules the same as ever one else.

I do apologise if any one took offence.

Mick
