Dale Farm Cleared Tomorrow?

If that were the case there would be no battle. Half the site is legal, the other half is not. It is those parked on the illegal side that require shifting.

No, it's all owned by the pikies, I mean travellers. The battle is about planning permission, how can you say that if they owned it there would be no battle?

"More legal aid sir, certainly, just fill in this form, along with your national insurance number ...."

Admiral Akbar has got nothing on me ;)

I don't really understand this.

first courts needed first to rule on the legality of their removal

If the council has been trying to remove them for 10 years, then turn up with bailiffs and court orders then the court has already decided on it's legality... no?

If we did not enforce the judgment we have been granted here, then how could any other local authority in the country impose planning controls?
So has there been a judgment or has there not?

And at which point are they unable to keep extending this dead line?

Maybe it's that the county courts had rules on its legality but the pikies, I mean travellers kept using appeals to escalate the whole thing thereby delaying the final decision. It's a complete joke though and the sad fact is that honest Farmer Joe who accidentally built an illegal barn on his land thinking it didn't require planning permission, would have had it knocked down years ago and received 0 legal aid in the process.

Who's up for a counter protest down at Dale Farm then, lol

IMO the EDL should get involved in this. I'll admit I'd be too pussy to go and demonstrate because I don't like the idea of getting beaten up by a gang of Gypsy bare-knuckle fighting champions.

Just saw this posted in the bbc comments made me chuckle,
Cathleen, 53, a Dale Farm non traveler hailed the latest delay as a "farce", why should the settled community pay for our legal aid bill and pay all our council tax and pay our rent, after all we have put appsolutley nothing in". She also said: "Hopefully we will be sponging of the settled community for another 30 years - we are good at sponging, shame there is not not a law to prevent anyone building and staying where they like, so sorry their is but it does not apply to us, we don't beleive in obaying the law just using it to look after our own necks".

When I think of gypsies I think of these guys:
