the wifes new car hunt is OVER

I feel your pain, my wife once bought a brand new 318i SE which I chopped in 2 years later for a used 335i.

I told her that a new car is never a good idea but she was not my wife at the times so I could not really stop her.

So you bowed to your wifes command then and bought an Alfa? Strange descison, oh and id remove the for sale bit from your OP before I wake up and get alittle feisty.

I don't like it, these are starting to look really dated now, and the estate was ugly to begin with. However, as long as your wife is happy, then all is well :)

Strange decision - but I can never get past thinking that Alfas are the car equivalent of Christopher Lee's nose on an otherwise pretty, chronically ill woman.

My ex boss had one of these with the 2.4 diesel. She absolutely loved telling every man and his dog that she drove "an Alfa" followed by a short pause before she proudly announced "150 brake" :p

She quite enjoyed driving it until she took my Octavia to a meeting (when the Alfa broke down :p ) and despite it not being anything special it reminded her of what her old Leon was like and how her particular 156 didn't feel quite right

As soon as she changed jobs she was back in a VW.

Shame about the colour but other than that I hope she enjoys it... for a while at least :p

I don't often get involved in these type of posts, I'm not a fan of members trying to convince other members that their purchase was bad when they are happy with it.

However, in this case, I simply don't understand the logic behind it. How can you go from a LCR and consider a land rover, Fabia VRS, probably some other cars I can't remember and then end up at that?

It's a lovely looking estate car IMO (apart from colour), much nicer than the saloon. Howver it's pretty poor in terms of load space.

Very bizzare choice of car comming from the Leon. They go pretty well though, but they are thirsty and it's not a particularly robust engine.

Because there was a women involved.

Not a fan of that colour, but a biased thumbs up from me.

Watch out for bonks and clonks from the front suspension :)

So not current? It bears no relevance then.

Back on topic.

He was allowed to do it, others have done it in the past so why isn't this poster?

The consistent application of the rules is relevant to everyone.

It was even questioned and it was deemed to be 'legal' as it was essentially just a link to PH.

No he wasn't, the link was removed once other moderators saw it. This thread is not for a discussion on your views about moderating.
