the wifes new car hunt is OVER

I know someone who had one, spent more time in the garage than on the road. In the end he had to buy a 2nd car to get around while the Alfa was getting fixed so he got shot of it. Hopefully his was just a bad example!

I had my old Alfa 156 for 5 Years, and in that time I never got it serviced. The only thing that I replaced was an engine sensor, disks/pads and topped up with oil. Not sure how it lasted so long but was a very pleasant ownership experience. The trim was definitely nailed together by an Italian though. ;-)

Maybe this is why so many Alfas out there break down so often, because the previous owner doesn't service them for 5 years?

I think they should make a motoring show between this guys wife and the dad who bought the very old 3 series bmw lemon:) Pure gold i tell you

well............

the legendary alfa reliability reared its head today :)

The cars done a whopping 20 miles in our ownership and we have an engine managment light on huraah.

dropped the selling dealer a quick text and its going down to get checked out later on in the week. Dont forsee anything major as its still driving fine and running smoothly.

Chances are that light has come on for an intermittent problem. The seller may have just cleared the codes to hide faults before selling.

not a major issue, bought from a dealer and its going back to get checked/sorted later in the week. quite surprising but the dealer actually comes across as a decent bloke.
