What did people expect? I love the BF games but not allowing/making it possible for people to pre-download is just asking for problems. So many better ways of doing this sort of thing.

Highly doubt it. They're using the 26th July as a cut off. If they don't have you registered for it before then it doesn't look like they are interested. Which technically makes their website mis-information.
