Working with people who smell

My girlfriends dad smells, he's got OCD so I guess I can't get too mad at him but his idea of a shower or a bath is to stand in front of the sink and throw soapy water at himself. Worst part is, you'd think with OCD he'd be a proper clean freak and shower twice a day but he doesn't he just washes his hands for like an hour

Buy a couple of cheap cans of women's deodorant and get a female colleague to leave them in the ladies loo. She might use them and save the embarrassment

not hard to jump in the shower each morning it takes what 5-10mins....

I hate having a shower on a morning. I'll either have a bath or a shower on an evening and a shower after I've been to the gym through the day.

Speaking to a manager has got to be the way to go if you don't feel up to doing it yourself.

Moving desks or subtle hints like placing deodorant about won't fix the problem if she's not aware of it.

This guy started at my place and he sweated buckets it was very pungent and lot of people were very angry at having to endure this so the Manager called him into the office presented him with some deoderent and told him to go home and have a shower and then come back tomorrow.

My housemate has been told by at least two employers to sort out his personal hygene. He smells at home and I tell him this around once a week, or more in the summer.

He doesn't get the hint.

Good luck getting Fatty McSweatball to wash

I can't not have a shower in the morning, - get up, pee, make coffee, shave, shower, drink coffee, get dressed. In that order. Else I'm screwed for the whole day.

I've got quite a bad sense of smell and in the past I've worked with some of the smelliest people EVER.
One woman was called Big Val and she swore to me that she bathed/showered twice a day and used all sorts of cream but nothing worked.
Another bloke called Steve used to change his socks once every hour because of the smell and they would be soaked.
The saddest case was Malcolm who was one of my best workmates and according to everybody he stunk.
I even worked down wind and right next to him but he wouldn't bother me.
During one week virtually everybody on the assembly line was complaining about the stink coming out of the testing crib and this one day the manager told him to go with him and walked him up to our surgery where the Sister discussed his body odour and sent him home.
A couple of days later he hung himself :(

Jesus christ. Bit of an over-reaction! If somebody insulted me to the bone I wouldn't think much of it really. This is part of growing up surely?
