Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Well, I get home from work, check my email and who would have guessed. No email from EA. Not surprised really

For a Beta this has really impressed me, the recoil, bullet damage, health regen from packs. Even the map has impressed me, it is a bit linear but it's rush and I think the balance between the attacking team and the defending team are fair.

Some negatives though, No vehicles and I dislike the glare from the sniper. Can see it from a mile away!

Just played my first game. I did quite well actually. Managed to destroy the objective for the win.

I must have been lucky as i just went straight in to a server and was waiting for other players. I didn't play the Alpha so this was my first experience of BF3 and i liked it a lot. I liked the map as well.

I did notice quite a few glitches as well. It also said i commited suicide after i paused and unpaused it.

Glint cannot blind other players and doesn't light up the area around you, just your scope.

Can't get in any of the servers and Quick Match just sits there saying, "Matchmaking". Browser system is really stupid tbh...

Anyone getting slow downloads from Origin, just try pausing and restarting it.

Started at 3MB, went down to 600kb after a while, paused and restarted it and speed shot back up to 4MB.

Downloaded and installed just fine. Shame I can't actually launch into a game though.

You can't. Not for the beta anyway. Stats reset afterwards so let's hope they allow it for the main event.

Think 10 million people trying to get on 100 servers and you got the idea

There seems to be a memory leak with the beta with anyone with more than 2gb of ram which is causing people to freeze\crash\BOSD in game every 10-15 minutes.
