Recently been buying a lot to change computer/table setup etc, so may aswell get a new tv/xbox :p

Anyways anyone able to suggest a TV

Full HD ready
32" preferably as theres limited space where I wish to put it

Wish to wall mount it above my computer so it's infront of me :)

If you plan to do a lot of gaming then you want a telly that has low input lag. You might have to pay a bit more for this, but if you get any old TV then your gaming will suffer. You're playing COD...someone is shooting at you... by the time you see that on screen your character is already dead. Input lag.

HD Ready and Full HD sets take time to turn the signal from a console in to a picture on the screen. The longer they take then the worse the time delay is.

There's a Panasonic which is exceptionally quick: Panasonic Viera TX-L32E3 - John Lewis £449. It's an LED* set, so if budget is tight then do have a look to see if there's an equivalent in standard LCD from Panasonic too. The thing with this telly is that the input lag is only 5ms. Many of the competing products are 30ms and more.

* LED, same as LCD but with a different way of illuminating the display, and a corresponding price hike to go with it 'coz it's "new" :D

Looking at one about 300 quid preferably.

Doesn't need to be fancy etc as I'll be using computer for 90% of things, just sky + xbox on tv.

Ok back to this since I got new monitors, etc.

Basically wanting a cheapish good brand TV

Full HD
1 Scarts, 2 HDMI atleast (Dvd, Xbox, Sky)
37"
Wall mountable (will be using a flat wall mount)

Around £300 mark, any suggestions? :)

Budgets ar emade to be broken, I guess :p

TVs around the price I was originally looking at would be about 32" where as I'm looking for something larger, then past that i was advised to look at IPS panel as I will be sitting at an angle under it (Will be wall mounted infront of me, so normal panels would, like my current TV have weird colours looking at it from this angle apparently)

It's true that IPS panels are better for viewing angle, but they're a lot more expensive than TN panels so do you think you'll find them on budget and midrange LCD TVs? The other challenge is finding out which panel type is actually fitted to a TV since it's rarely published. It's going to take quite a bit of detective work I think.

Anyway, it's all a bit academic when you consider that the colour shift problem can be solved very easily by using a tilting wall bracket. :D

The one I linked is IPS I think :p

The Panasonic Viera TX-L42U3B 42" Full HD LCD TV is a top quality television with a advanced IPS-alpha LCD panel

Thanks to the wide viewing angle IPS panel, you'll also be able to get a better view, wherever you are in the room.

and taken from panasonic

Wide Viewing Angle with IPS Panel
42" Full-HD IPS LCD TV with Superb Picture Quality and Advanced Networking Capabilities

Assuming that the colour would be fine from under it, it completely fits my needs.

Although someone said about it being 50Hz
