Failed my driving test this week... How many attempts did it take you?

Twice (3 Technically)

Failed first time in my own car after ballsing up my reverse round a corner.
Second test I was late because I got half way there and realised i'd forgot my licences, I got there 5 mins after my test time and they told me I couldn't take it.

Passed third attempt with 4 Minors.
 
Passed on my 5th attempt.


First time wasn't actually my fault; examiner jammed the anchors on because some van looked like he was heading towards us at a great rate of knots but seemed to miss the indicator. I contested but had none of it.

Other times I just made stupid mistakes.
 
Second attempt for me though the reason I failed my first test still annoys me (I know excuses excuses :))

Approaching a roundabout the examiner tells me to take the 2nd exit which is basically straight ahead, as we're approaching the first exit he screams "no this one" grabs the wheel and pulls us off the first exit, at the end he failed me for that very incident, he even admitted he said the 2nd exit after it happened as I thought maybe I'd misheard him, argued with him for a while and looked into what I could do about it but in the end I just took my test somewhere else to make sure I didn't get that **** again :mad:
 
Passed mine first time many moons ago. In fact passed all of my driving tets first time (car, motorbike, 3x different forklifts, Hagglund BV 206, aircraft tug, tractor).
 
2nd time for me with 2 minors. First test I messed up taking right of way and drove really close to parked cars. The instructor turned to look at the tiny gap in horror :D
 
passed on my 2nd attempt.
The first one i only failed due to my emergency stop not being quick enough.

2nd one i passed with only 3 minors.

then lost my licence for drink driving 5 times over the limit just 17 days after...

What did you do - drink two bottles of Tequila?
 
I passed third time with 2 minors, Both times I failed was with hardly any minors but a major in both, and both times it was something that wasn't directly my fault, but something I should have been aware of,

The first time I was turning right, I waited in the right lane for oncoming traffic to pass and as soon as there was a gap I went to turn but someone had cut infront of me from the left as I was turning, I just carried on but the examiner hit the brakes,

The 2nd time I was coming to a roundabout, there was a car to my right and a car coming to pass me, I presumed the car to my right would give way to the car coming straight on (that's what would happen any other day) but just as I started to accelerate the car to my right decided to shoot out infront of me,

I haven't had any accidents since passing (4 years ago) and I think that driving is much easier once you pass your test
 
I started to learn and then gave up. I find driving is frustrating and expensive, and i live where everything is either walking distance or i can hop on a train (station is 10minutes walk away).
I do however have a full bike license but had to sell my bike because i don't have anywhere suitable to store one now i'm living with my girlfriend and she drives so i'm getting away with being chauffeured around the place at the moment :D
Though i do feel less of a man slightly, being driven around by my girlfriend, but whatever lol

Hard to remember exactly now, But i do know i was also drinking a bottle of JD straight, My favorite :D
along with others, I was at a party, so i was shovelling anything and everything down my neck.
Then i was intending to crash out the night in my car, but mates kept nagging at me to give them a lift home, So i did.

When the police pulled me, they asked me how i was managing to drive, i just said "im following the white lines", but little did i know, i was following the white line that seperates the bike lane to the public walking path, so i was actually driving on the path :D
