Quick question, what are you people using to cool your i5's? I need to buy a decent cooler but due to my ram, im limited on space grrr so I need ideas :)

Had ram issues with my 2600k, ended up with an H80, a little pricey but I'm over the moon with its performance.

As for air coolers your a little limited due to the ram heatsinks, but I'm sure I've seen people using these: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-079-TR&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=1395

Of course another option is to buy new ram + a large aircooler.

Edit: archon should fit easily, comes in at a shade over 50mm fat with the fan installed.

I'm using a H60 and its nearly halved my temps compared to the stock cooler. The new bigger case with 4 x 12cm fans helps though.

Been using the h60 for a while not found it go over 20 Deg realy, unless its a hot day then it goes to about 35-40 but its to be expected. as for the h100 seeing as its 92.00 on OCUK then it may be worth it, depending on how good the cooler it, Never done any research on the H100 so i wouldent know.

Edit: Just done a little research on it, looks a little bit like the H60 but with a bigger heatsink which in a way would be better if you are finding it getting too hot, but the default Intel stock cooler is quite crappy.

Hope this info helps!

Defo worth it lee yes. I have the h80 and its outstanding, but the h100 looks quality too. Make sure your case is large enough for which one you do choose. Word of advice though, DO NOT buy the h70, its **** poor.

Yeah my case is the 650D so the top 200mm fan can be swapped for 2x120mm fans or a duel radiator. But as my room has the boiler in it, it can get warm in the room. But case cooling isnt an issue really. And I'm hoping I can manage to get the i5 upto 4.6-8ghz.. hope its easy to do!

Yeah you have a nice OC with that 2600k. Whats your temps like with the H80?
The most I've seen is 72c, most of the time its hovering around 64c, and about 51c under gaming load

Do you have to add a fan to the H60?
It comes with 1 fan, but its advisable to add a second fan for push/pull

Ive found the h100 for £82....worth it?

If you have the room do it, these things are supposed to be quite exceptional coolers.

4.6-4.8 should be easily achieved with a good cooler.

I used to use a Gelid Tranquillo. Now I use a Thermalright Silver Arrow. Although I had to change the position of the fans due to the height of my ram.

I'm using a Hyper 212+.

Tbh, I haven't stress tested it with IBT, Prime95 or anything. I just auto overclocked using the preset in the Asrock Extreme4 Gen3 bios to 4.6GHz.

Haven't had a crash yet when playing games or having it on all day, so I'm happy.

Mine at 4.4ghz 1.34v never goes above 55c on the 212+
