480 SLI oc here

Im at 2560x1600 res Ultra settings 4xmsaa 16xaf and what ever else turned on get average of 80 ish fps in the big open areas and 100 ish in the subway.

Is yours powered by magic?

Although it's an ageing card now, I'm getting solid performance out of my GTX295. Running in 1920 by 1200 res on mostly all High settings along with x8 anisotropic filtering and 2x AA.

May not need to bother upgrading. I guess Caspian border is the test.

what you think is your average FPS? i have a nvidia 295 and is hit and miss at times at high preset with ambient occulsion off.

Overall the beta is pretty good, but getting boored playing the same map over and over.

Main Issues i have seen

regular CTD, Flickering and going prone makes you go through the ground.

quite funny to see people die and get thrown across the map.

im abit skeptical that they will fix all the problems within 4 weeks.

Has anyone got a solid link regarding Ultra not actually being implemented or is it just a rumour that has snowballed? BF2 did have a ultra mode did you had to tweak the config files to get it, not that it made any noticeable difference to the game. I think it might well be the same in BF3.

Mine runs it ok (50-70FPS) on a mixture of High/Ultra - not bad for a laptop!!

Not very good at the game though, I am blind and never spot anyone - just kind of run around and die a lot

They just need to fix the screen flickering bug, and the terrain bug where you go through the ground.

Dice have got a busy time on their hands with all the players posting on the BF3 forum of bugs. i can see a big Patch being released.

I was running Ultra 1920x1080 very smoothly but performance definitely decreased over time! And no server wasnt getting more populated, was full. Probably a leak or two!

Getting a bit of white flickering as well, mainly outside, iirc it was present in the alpha as well.

Nope But my GPU is 100mhz faster than yours and my ram is clocked higher than yours.

no doubt my RAM is clocked higher than yours and No doubt my CPU is

Its a 970 hex @ 4.4ghz.
