I watched a programme about apples once, supermarkets buy into how the apple looks not how it tastes. I suggest buying apples elsewhere if you want nice tasting ones.

Golden delicious are horrible, Royal Gala's aren't that great either.

Family apples, Granny Smith, pink lady and Cox's is what you want to buy.
